Canberra Event - The Conversational Model: a model of working with Borderline Personality Disorder and Complex Trauma

Helping patients/clients who live with BPD and other forms of complex trauma can be challenging. ANZAP is pleased to offer people (psychiatrists, GPs, psychologists and other mental health workers) the opportunity to become acquainted with the Conversational Model (CM). The Model provides an evidence-based approach to working with people who live with BPD, chronic emotional dysregulation, self-harming behaviours, suicidal ideations, suicide attempts, intractable depression, chronic eating disorders and various forms of dissociation.

Location ANU Medical Building, Building 4, The Canberra Hospital
This workshop will briefly cover the core theory that underpins the Model and how it translates into treatment with these severely damaged people. Time will be spent looking at specific therapeutic skills and examining transcripts and recordings of sessions.
